Stepped gearbox
Principle: By combining multiple sets of gear pairs with different numbers of teeth, fixed gear shifting can be achieved.
Features: Simple structure, low cost, easy maintenance, but there may be power interruption during gear shifting.
Application: Widely used in low-power agricultural machinery such as hand-held tractors and small micro tillage machines.
Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) gearbox
Principle: Adopting the "mechanical+hydraulic" power splitting technology (such as the combination of planetary gear mechanism and hydraulic pump motor) to achieve continuous speed ratio changes.
Features: Smooth power transmission, no jerking during gear shifts, high fuel economy, but high cost.
Application: Large agricultural machinery such as mid to high end tractors and combine harvesters.
Planetary reducer and worm gear reducer
Principle: Through planetary gears or worm gear transmission, achieve high reduction ratio and compact structure.
Features: Small size, high torque, but low transmission efficiency.
Application: orchard spray, vegetable planter and other light agricultural machinery.
